On Saturday the 8th of March, we officially launched The Caymanian Community Party (TCCP) at the historic Pedro St. James, the birthplace of democracy in the Cayman Islands. The event was a beautiful blend of family-friendly fun, meaningful dialogue, and a shared vision for the future of our country. We were thrilled to see so many join us, whether in person or online, to be a part of something truly special. This event wasn’t just another campaign rally—it was an invitation to come together as a community and envision the future we all deserve.
From the very beginning, the evening was filled with community, connection, and conversation. One of the most powerful features of the night was the “Ideas for the Future” Chalk Wall, where guests could share their hopes and ideas for Cayman’s future. It was an amazing sight to see the wall fill up with thoughts of unity, progress, and innovation. A central theme of the event was the opportunity for meaningful conversation. TCCP candidates were available at district booths and our conversation corner, where they engaged with community members, listening to their concerns, and ideas for the future. While sharing their vision for each district, the candidates were equally committed to hearing directly from the people about what real, lasting change would look like for the Cayman Islands. We believe that this kind of open dialogue—where leaders listen as much as they speak—is essential to building a government that truly represents the needs and desires of the people.
Our Youth Council Hub was also a standout feature of the event, with young Caymanians gathering to discuss how they can help shape the future of our country. As Chairperson, Leanni Tibbetts, so passionately put it, “This event isn’t just about politics; it’s about inspiring young Caymanians to be part of shaping our country’s future.”
We can’t help but reflect on the power of those words that have been driving us forward: “Enough is Enough” It’s time to put the people of the Cayman Islands FIRST. Time for real leadership that listens, acts, and delivers. The energy we felt that evening was a testament to the collective spirit of our people and the determination to move Cayman forward.
Our official launch event was just the beginning. What we saw was a glimpse of the change that is possible when we come together with purpose and determination. The conversation has only just begun, and we are committed to creating more opportunities for connection, dialogue, and community in the weeks ahead.
As we head into the upcoming election on the 30th of April, we invite you to continue being a part of this movement. Together, we can build a Cayman Islands that truly serves its people—a Cayman that reflects the values of integrity, leadership, respect, and teamwork. It’s time to get back on track.
Join us, be part of the change, and help us build a brighter future for the Cayman Islands- VOTE TCCP.
