A life-long resident of Bodden Town, Robert is a community advocate who is committed to improving the quality of life for the residents of Bodden Town East.
Robert Anthony Bodden is a business owner and real estate professional who has more than two decades experience working in residential sales, rentals and property management across Grand Cayman, giving him a deep understanding of the housing market and tourism industry.
As a certified real estate agent, Robert has completed anti-money laundering training for the industry. Having studied Hospitality Management at UCCI, Robert began his career in construction management before working as a Customs Officer.
As a long-standing advocate for Bodden Town East, Robert has been active in many community initiatives, most recently as Chairman of the Beautification Committee. A committed family man, Robert is the eldest son of Haldane (“Hal the Barber”) and Pauline Bodden and is married to Jhaneen with whom he has a young daughter.
Driven by a strong desire to ensure better opportunities for his community, Robert first ran for office in Bodden Town East in 2017. His decision to run again stems from his frustration with the lack of leadership and poor representation in his district.
As a member of The Caymanian Community Party, he is committed to leading with honesty and integrity and putting all Caymanians first. His priorities are making home ownership more affordable at entry level, introducing immigration and real estate reforms, and improving food security for the country.
In Bodden Town East, Robert’s primary focus is on easing traffic congestion for residents. He is committed to completing the construction of the East-West Arterial highway in a cost-effective way that minimizes impact on surrounding wetlands and farmland, alongside new traffic flow improvements such as a one-way system during the morning rush-hour and new turning lanes.
With a strong desire to make a real difference in his district, Robert is ready to provide the leadership and action needed to tackle the pressing issues facing Bodden Town East and the Cayman Islands. He will be visible and available to the people of Bodden Town East at all times.
