Bodden Town West

A seasoned businessman and experienced politician with deep roots in Bodden Town, Ossie is a dedicated community advocate. 

Osbourne Bodden has a lifelong commitment to Bodden Town where he runs his family businesses and has twice represented the people of Bodden Town West in Parliament.    

First elected in 2005, Ossie became a backbencher with the PPM government and served as Chairman of Public Accounts Committee. Re-elected in 2013, he was first appointed Minister for Health, Sports and Culture before becoming Minister of Community Affairs, Youth and Sports 2015-2017.  

His public service has focused on community development and improving infrastructure, while advocating for better representation and accessibility to MPs as well as traffic solutions and community spaces in Bodden Town. Most recently, Ossie served as Chair of the Health Services Authority Board for three and a half years. 

A trained accountant and insurance specialist, Ossie has held senior positions within the insurance industry, providing him with extensive experience in financial management and governance. In Bodden Town, his family businesses are the cornerstone of the community. Originally founded by his late mother in 1950s, Osbourne has built upon this legacy, ensuring that his businesses—including Lorna’s Rubis and Grape Tree Café—continue to serve and support the local economy. 

Ossie’s decision to run with The Caymanian Community Party stems from his belief in putting Caymanians first, strengthening community engagement, and building a more inclusive government. As an elected representative for Bodden Town West, his constituency priorities will include creating a district council, timely responses to voters and quarterly community meetings to ensure all residents have a voice. 

With his combination of business acumen, financial expertise, and political experience, Ossie is well-equipped to tackle pressing issues such as the cost of living and infrastructure development.  With a strong network of supporters and deep family ties to Bodden Town West, Osbourne is ready to bring proven leadership, accountability, and action to public office once again.
